Welcome to the Most Magical Season

I don’t know about you, but on September 1st I could literally smell the change in the air—that crispness that signals Autumn is here. And for the first time in my life, I’m genuinely excited about this season. Perhaps that’s what stepping into my 40s feels like?

If so—I’ll take it! These days, I’m embracing cosy Saturdays: long, chilly walks followed by hot chocolate, a fire, and a good movie. Some might call it “boring,” but for me—it’s pure bliss.

A Season of Reflection

This season also feels symbolic of my business journey. When we started ACAI, it was with one product—the Skinny Outdoor Trousers—and a bold vision: to create performance-led outdoorwear that makes women feel confident outdoors.

But the road hasn’t always been straightforward. Over the years, I questioned: are we just a legwear brand, or are we a complete outdoorwear brand for women? That lack of clarity sometimes slowed us down. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned? Clarity and alignment fuel growth, team empowerment, and momentum.

The turning point came from listening to you—our community. You told us you wanted more than legwear. You wanted outerwear, midlayers, accessories—an entire outdoor wardrobe. And step by step, we evolved.

A Personal Reset

This Summer, I did something I’ve never done before in 9 years of building ACAI and raising 3 little humans—I took six weeks off. And truthfully? I needed it. I had completely burnt out.

Resting gave me perspective, fresh energy, and renewed creativity. It also reminded me to start practising what I preach: to pause, recharge, and listen when your body calls for rest.

I’m so grateful to my incredible team who kept everything running seamlessly while I stepped away. They’ve poured so much passion into this campaign, and I couldn’t be prouder of them.

Life Beyond Work

On a personal note, we celebrated my youngest daughter’s 2nd birthday this month with close family and friends. I may have secretly enjoyed blowing up the pink balloons and baking the birthday cake just as much as she enjoyed the party!
